Advanced Prostate Cancer Patients Roundtable (Jacksonville, FL)

Your Experience Can Help Improve Prostate Cancer Education and Support

PHEN is inviting men living with advanced prostate cancer and the people who support them to participate in a small, respectful roundtable conversation in Jacksonville, Florida.

We want to hear directly from patients and caregivers about the real-world experiences that shape the prostate cancer journey. This is not a discussion with doctors. It is an opportunity for patients and caregivers to share how they communicate with their doctors, make treatment decisions, find information they can understand and trust, manage side effects, and handle the practical and emotional challenges of living with advanced prostate cancer.

Your experiences and perspectives will help PHEN identify unmet needs and strengthen future prostate cancer education, resources, and patient engagement.

Who Should Participate?

We are seeking men living with advanced prostate cancer who meet the participation criteria, as well as wives, caregivers, family members, or care partners who are actively involved in their care.

We especially want to hear about experiences related to:

  • Talking with doctors and other healthcare professionals about treatment options

  • Making treatment decisions based on benefits, side effects, convenience, and quality of life

  • Finding prostate cancer information you can understand and trust

  • Managing treatment side effects and getting the support you need

  • Handling practical and emotional challenges associated with prostate cancer

$100 Honorarium

Each selected participant who takes part in the roundtable will receive a $100 honorarium, with a maximum of $200 per couple.

Participation is limited, and completing the survey is required to be considered for the roundtable.

The brief survey will help PHEN determine whether you meet the participation criteria and will also help us better understand the experiences of the patients and caregivers interested in participating.

Completing the survey does not guarantee selection for the roundtable. PHEN will contact individuals who meet the criteria and are selected to participate with additional event information.

Advanced Prostate Cancer Roundtable Patients Screening Questions Jacksonville

Has a doctor told you that your prostate cancer has spread to another part of your body? For example, it may have spread to your bones, lymph nodes, or another organ.(Required)
Has your doctor told you that your cancer is growing even though you are receiving treatment such as; Lupron, Casidex, Xtandi, Zytiga, Darolutamide, or other androgen deprivation therapy?(Required)
Have you received chemotherapy for prostate cancer? Examples include docetaxel, also called Taxotere, or cabazitaxel, also called Jevtana.(Required)
Have you received Pluvicto or another radioligand treatment for prostate cancer?(Required)
How long ago did your doctor tell you that your prostate cancer had spread?(Required)
How much help do you receive with your cancer care? This may include help with appointments, transportation, treatment choices, side effects, or emotional support.(Required)
