PHEN'S June Community Rally Blitz Reaches Hundreds of Men in Three States!

June was a month of action and tremendous impact as PHEN joined community and faith-based partners to bring prostate cancer education and early detection screening to men in Connecticut, Virginia, and Maryland.

The month began with the ManCave New Haven Health and Wellness Day in New Haven, Connecticut, followed by two Father’s Day Prostate Cancer Community Rallies at First Baptist Church of South Richmond in Richmond, Virginia, and Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington, Maryland.

Together, the three events welcomed 357 attendees and provided 239 men with free PSA tests—meaning nearly 67% of attendees took an important step toward protecting their prostate health.

June Impact at a Glance

•  ManCave New Haven Health and Wellness Day: 110 attendees and 68 PSA tests

•  First Baptist Church of South Richmond: 132 attendees and 92 PSA tests

•  Ebenezer AME Church: 115 attendees and 79 PSA tests

“To God be the glory for blessing us with an amazing Prostate Cancer Symposium and PSA testing event—and for helping us make strides toward eradicating prostate cancer through early detection and treatment. Thank you to PHEN and our partners for the hard work and dedication that made this event a success. Our prayers are with anyone who had an elevated result, and we are grateful they will be navigated to the care they need.”
