June is Men’s Health Month, and we are not only celebrating the fathers in our lives, but we are also celebrating all men.

For Black men, prostate cancer deserves special attention because it is the most commonly diagnosed cancer. Early detection is critical because it increases the chance of survival.

Whether you’re a father, grandfather, son, caregiver, survivor, or supporter, a free screening can save your life. Here are three local events sponsored by PHEN.

ManCave New Haven Health and Wellness Day

Pastor Kevin C. Hardy is hosting a 2026 ManCave Men’s Health & Wellness Event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a continental breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 am at St. Matthew’s UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT, 06511.

Among a variety of medical experts, Dr. Keith Crawford, Director of Clinical Trials and Patient Education at PHEN, will speak about the importance of early detection screening.

The event will include free PSA blood tests provided by Labcorp, available from 9:00 am throughout the day, and free breakfast and lunch.
