PHEN’s Prostate Cancer Community Rally Initiative has reached over 20 million people through extensive awareness campaigns, providing educational programs and free PSA screenings in partnership with churches. This initiative empowers and involves communities as active partners in PHEN’s ongoing efforts to fight prostate cancer at the grassroots level. For example, this year’s rally led to over 500 men receiving free PSA screenings in underserved neighborhoods, resulting in early detection for several participants.
The upcoming session titled “Faith and Partnerships in Action to Fight Prostate Cancer at the Grassroots Level, Community by Community” will feature three panel discussions followed by an interactive Q&A, allowing attendees to engage directly with community leaders and industry experts. Participants will leave with actionable strategies to support prostate cancer awareness in their own communities. The session will provide perspectives on community needs from both grassroots and industry partners, showcase recent PHEN Rally initiatives, and outline future strategies.
