Thomas Farrington Receives Award from 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
Thomas A. Farrington, PHEN President and Founder, received the Leadership in Health and Wellness Award from the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. for his work in Prostate Cancer education and awareness. He was presented with the award at the Chairman's Award Luncheon as part of the 28th Annual Conference of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. on June 13, 2014. The award was presented by Curley M. Dossman, Jr., Chairman of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. and Dr. Mark Alexander, Chair of Health and Wellness, 100 Black Men of America, Inc. PHEN and 100 Black Men of America, Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding in April to work together to support the efforts in prostate cancer and its effects on the Black community. 100 Black Men of America Inc.'s mission is to improve the quality of life within Black communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans.
