I am greatly honored and humbled by the overwhelming support of churches across our country for your support of PHEN's "Father's Day Rally Against Prostate Cancer." Through our joint efforts we celebrate fathers, the health of all men, and the well - being of families.
As a prostate cancer survivor, husband, father and grandfather, I have a strong appreciation for the importance of good health for families, and I know the devastating impact of cancer. Thankfully, I have experienced the power of prayer leading me and my family through the fear and confusion of facing cancer and today we are truly blessed.
The Father's Day Rally was launched in 2009 to meet the critical need for increased knowledge about prostate cancer, and the importance of faith in facing this disease - a proven healing formula. We extend our sincerest thanks to all the churches, survivors and other partners for sharing our vision and joining with us in the fight against prostate cancer. Together we are succeeding!
In spirit I stand within each of our partner churches on Father's Day, joining hands and receiving prayer with every survivor who stands and comes forth. On this day we share and we celebrate. However, we are also reminded of the challenges that we face to eliminate the prostate cancer crisis from our churches and our communities.
