** Dr. Caswell Evans, a PHEN Survivor Network Member, Successful Recruiting Chicago Churches
Dr. Caswell Evans, a PHEN Survivor Network member in Chicago, has been successful in recruiting Chicago churches to participate in the Father's Day Rally that are members of the "A.C.T.S. of F.A.I.T.H. (Actions Connected to Spirituality: Forming Alliances in Transforming Health)" organization.
The purpose of ACTS of FAITH, a coalition of South Side African American faith institutions, is to improve the health status and outcomes of African Americans on Chicago?s South Side and beyond. There are eleven founding churches with a membership of approximately 50,000. The churches within the organization participating in the Father's Day Rally are:

Dr. Caswell A. Evans is a member of the ACTS of FAITH board. Dr. Evans is a dental public health specialist, has led and founded numerous dental and public health programs, professional organizations and initiatives at the local, state and national levels aimed at improving the health of underserved populations. He is currently the Associate Dean for Prevention and Public Health Sciences, University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry and also has an appointment on the faculty of the UIC School of Public Health.
