Lillian Alston, BSAE, MSCS, P.E.
Lillian Alston is a Senior Project Engineer of Engineering and Information Technology for the U.S. EPA in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Ms. Alston’s primary areas of expertise include creating and implementing IT polices and systems that will meet objectives, along with software development project, building design and developing web-based applications. Her experience also includes project engineering, design, planning, project management, time management, regulatory compliance, client relations and quality assurance. One of Lillian’s best assets as a Project Engineer is her responsiveness to clients’ immediate needs. Ms. Alston has been active with PHEN since 2003. She is a PHEN Ambassador in her community and is a member of Mitchell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Pittsboro, North Carolina. She was instrumental in helping to form the Orange and Chatham African American Prostate Cancer Support Group, which was the first support group in their community, to address the needs of African American men who suffer the highest risk and death rates for prostate cancer. She has successfully led prostate cancer education efforts with her church, other A.M.E. and Baptist churches, support groups, rallies at her university, their town and within their A.M.E. Zion church district. Ms. Alston holds a Bachelors Degree (BSAE) in Architectural Engineering and a Masters Degree (MSCS) in Computer Science from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina. Ms. Alston is a registered professional Engineer. |
