Reverend Blane Newberry is a native of Philadelphia, married to the former Cathy Leigh Hill. He was educated in the Philadelphia Parochial School System. Reverend Newberry is a member of the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia and since January 2006, has been employed as the full-time Associate Pastor Associate Pastor of Fellowship. He currently has Pastoral oversight of ministries in addition to special projects at the 15,000 – member church. Reverend Newberry attended Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, earning a B.A. Degree in Sociology and Social Work. He earned a M.S. Degree in the Administration of Justice from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Reverend Newberry has matriculated at Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and currently pursues a Master of Divinity Degree. Reverend Newberry has guided the development of youth in Philadelphia as a Juvenile Probation Officer, Gang Prevention Officer, and Recreation Leader. In March of 1988 through December 2005, Reverend Newberry was employed as a Federal Probation and Parole Agent for the Third Circuit of the United States District Court in Eastern Pennsylvania and the Department of Justice, working as a liaison to the United States Bureau of Prisons Re-Entry Program. |
