Golden Bethune-Hill is a Registered Professional Nurse with 50 years of Health Care Experience who retired in 2010 as the Executive Vice President of the Riverside Health System and President of the Riverside Regional Medical Center. Upon her retirement, she and her husband Charlie founded the Community Free Clinic of Newport News where she has volunteered for nearly six years as the Executive Director. The mission of the Clinic is to provide primary medical and dental care for uninsured residents of the Virginia Peninsula. She is also the co-founder of the Hampton Roads Prostate Health Forum, which promotes awareness and education about prostate cancer. Golden chairs the Community Advisory Board of the Forum and together they provide education and early detection events throughout Hampton Roads. Golden earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at North Carolina A&T State University, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and completed the Nurse Executives Fellowship Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. |
