Over 100 in Attendance with 52 men Completing PSA Screenings
For the second consecutive year PHEN held successful Prostate Health Education Symposium at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, WI, in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Overall there were 100 symposium attendees with a staggering 52 men completing PSA screenings. "The symposium went well and the number of men who got screened exceeded our expectations," said Lauren Matthews, Community Program Coordinator at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
During the program, Dr. Kenneth Jacobsohn, Associate Professor of Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin presented on, ‘Understanding Prostate Cancer and Clinical Trials.’ Dr. Melinda Stoll, Associate Director of Cancer Prevention and Control at the Medical College of Wisconsin then presented on ‘Healthy Lifestyle and Prostate Cancer.’
The symposium continued with an emotional and engaging panel discussion comprised of both prostate cancer survivors and medical experts speaking out against prostate cancer.
