Mark manages men’s health programs for the Community Benefits Office at Dana-Farber. He is a Senior Community Outreach Specialist, and runs the Blum Community Prostate Cancer Education and Screening Program, a mobile health clinic that provides prostate cancer education and screening in medically underserved communities in Greater Boston, and throughout Massachusetts. A key focus in this role is on prostate cancer-related education, including survivorship, cancer clinical trials, and primary care provider (PCP) education. Mark serves as the clinical trials educator for the Prostate Health Education Network (PHEN), develops prostate cancer education for PCPs, and trains community health workers on cancer clinical trials for the Area Health Education Center, funded by the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health (MASS DPH).
Mark is also a patient advocate, serving as the prostate cancer patient navigator for Dana-Farber, and as the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s ACT! Lead for the 8th Congressional District of Massachusetts.
Mark serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Prostate Cancer Coalition. In addition, Mark works with MASS DPH as a member of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer (Comp Cancer) Prostate Cancer Working Group, and as a member of the Community Linkages Committee for the Communities of Practice Initiative.
Mark received an Executive MBA from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business Administration at Northeastern University earlier this year.
