** Dr. Artie Shelton, PHEN Survivor Network Member on a Crusade to Recruit Churches in Washington, DC Area
PHEN Survivor Network member Dr. Artie shelton has been on a crusade to outreach and recruit churches in the Washington DC area to participate in the Father's Rally. Dr. Shelton spoke at the Conference of National Black Churches as a part of his efforts. Dr. Shelton will speak on Father's Day at New Samaritan Baptist Church (Bishop Kelsey, Pastor), a church he recruited to participate in the Rally. After Dr. Shelton's meeting with New Samaritan PHEN received this communication:
"Hello Mr Farrington,
The men of NSBC, aka Real Men Ministry (RMM) had a wonderful fellowship on last night. We were extremely blessed by the presentation that Dr Artie Shelton so very thoroughly and candidly delivered to us on last night. The information was well received and certainly has initiated a very clear awareness regarding prostate cancer symptoms and treatment options by Bishop Kelsey and the RMM. Our RMM meeting was the perfect setting for the presentation because the men were able to ask questions and receive information personally from Dr Shelton.
Thank you for all that you do to educate men about prostate cancer! Thank you for including New Samaritan!
We very much look forward to continued fellowship and communication.
Peace & Blessings,"
