Diane St. Germain, R.N., M.S. is a nurse consultant and program director in the Community Oncology and Prevention Trials Research Group in the Division of Cancer Prevention at the National Cancer Institute. In this position she is involved in research efforts/initiatives related pain, symptom management, palliative care and quality of life; is a program director in the NCI Community Oncology Research Program, overseeing research sites conducting research in community settings and manages a grant portfolio focused on symptom management and palliative care. Previously, she was a clinical research nurse at the Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University Hospital and a nurse practitioner with the Pain and Palliative Care Service at the NIH Clinical Center and in Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University Hospital.
